Julie, Treatment Coordinator

Julie, a clinically trained Level II Certified Dental Assistant, has been in the dental field for almost two decades!

Over the years, assisting dentists and patients, Julie has worn many hats. She has performed administrative roles from Patient Coordinator to Treatment Coordinator and Office Manager.

Most would agree, Julie takes the time to listen to patient needs and makes sure they have all the information needed in preparation for treatment.

Julie considers herself, a “Dental Benefits Expert”, and will help you understand your plan’s details, ensuring you maximize your benefits. Please direct any account or insurance related questions her way, she is always happy to help.

Outside of Luma Dental: Julie’s other passions include, acrobatic yoga, maintaining an environmentally sustainable lifestyle, macramé and tea -she loves a good cup of matcha green tea. Julie has a background in Holistic Nutrition, with a large knowledge base in food sensitivities & allergies. She loves to share her homemade kombucha, promoting gut health everywhere she goes!

Jazz, RDH

Jazz had enjoyed working in the dental field for 8 years as a Dental Assistant before returning to school in 2011 to become a Dental Hygienist.

Graduating from the Toronto College of Dental Hygiene in 2012, he has enjoyed educating and helping his patients attain optimal dental health and a smile that they are proud of.

Jazz returned to school to advance his skills and has become a certified restorative hygienist. Jazz joined the Luma family in July 2014, and takes special interest in Periodontics, Restorations and Orthodontics.

Jazz is an active member of the Canadian Dental Hygienists Association, and is registered with the College of Dental Hygienists of Ontario.

Outside of Luma: When jazz isn’t cycling across the country for charity, he is found being a proud dog daddy to his new pup Medjay.

Amber, RDH

Luma Dental welcomes Amber to our hygiene team. Amber received her Dental Hygiene Diploma from George Brown College in 2017 and graduated on the Dean’s Honour List for Academic Achievement.

She is certified in CPR, First Aid and WHMIS trained, and is enthusiastic about maintaining your oral care.

Her gentle, yet thorough technique is what her patients love about her the most.

To Amber, the most rewarding part about working in dentistry is providing patients with healthy and beautiful smiles. In her free time, Amber enjoys paddle boarding, yoga, travelling and spending time with her friends and family.
